Tips to save money

Money-Saving-Tips-for-Moving

Hi there,

Today i thought of sharing some easy tips for saving money.

It would be great if someone finds it useful.

So here it goes:

  1. Make your meals

Yes, that’s my first point. If you could prepare your food at home, rather than dining out in restaurants or so, you will be saving yourself your money and health. Although, dining out can be done twice in a month (or may be weekly once) to enjoy yourself and consider it as a luxury.

2. Make a list before grocery shopping

Before you hit the supermarket, make it a point to create a list of things that you need to buy for the weekend and STICK to the list.

3. Do not go for shopping when you are hungry

If you are hungry while shopping, there are high chances that you take lot of snacks and junk from the supermarket aisle.

4. Check out the offers/deals

Do check out the latest offers/deals your nearest supermarket offers beforehand and amend your list accordingly.

5. Buy things in bulk.

I don’t mean the vegetables. I used to do shopping weekly. So I buy the vegetables, fruits, chicken, fish and all for the week. The rest of the non-perishable goods I buy in bulk. Most of the times they will be in good offer. And, think about it. We will have to pay the packaging price also if we are buying several small packets.

6. Unplug when not in use

Unplug your devices when not in use so that you can save in your electricity bill. Also, charge your phones or devices in a fixed period like a few hours before going to bed. Also, keep your wifi off on your phone and switch on it only when you have to use. It will help to give you break from technology.

7. Shop clothes during offers

There will be offers many times in a year. So try to do the shopping during that time. Can also buy off season. Like, sweaters in summer. That will save you some money.

8. Think of free entertainment

Entertainment and relaxation can also be done without spending a penny like going to a beach, going to a park, watching sunset, potluck parties at home, watching movies at home, etc. It doesn’t always be taking vacations or going for movies.

More money saving tips to come in next series.

Till then, try to practice these.

Hope this finds useful to you.

Take care.
